Spider Man cake pops

Equipment

  • Mixing bowls
  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper
  • Microwave-safe bowls
  • Cake pop stand or styrofoam block

Ingredients

  • 3 cups Cake (crumbled, any flavor) (about 1 cake)
  • 1/3 cup Frosting (matching flavor)
  • 1 1/2 cups Red and Blue Candy Melts (255g)
  • 1/2 cup Black Candy Melts (85g)
  • 1/4 cup White Candy Melts (50g)
  • 20-25 Lollipop Sticks
  • Edible Decorations For garnish
  • Optional: Edible Markers For details

Instructions

  • Prepare the Cake Mixture
Bake your favorite cake and let it cool completely. Crumble the cake into fine crumbs in a mixing bowl.
  • Combine with Frosting
Add the frosting to the cake crumbs and mix until the texture resembles moldable dough.
  • Shape the Cake Balls
Roll the mixture into even balls (about 1 tablespoon each) and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Chill the Cake Balls
Refrigerate for 30 minutes or until firm.
  • Insert the Sticks
Melt a small amount of red candy melts. Dip the tip of each lollipop stick into the melted candy, then insert it halfway into a cake ball. Allow to set.
  • Create the Spider-Man Layer
Melt the red candy melts and dip each cake pop into the coating, ensuring the entire ball is covered. Let set completely.
  • Add the Blue Details
Melt the blue candy melts and use a toothpick or piping bag to create Spider-Man’s suit details. Allow to set.
  • Add Webbing and Eyes
Melt the black candy melts and use a piping bag or toothpick to draw web patterns on each cake pop. Melt the white candy melts and use them to create Spider-Man’s eyes. Use edible markers for additional details if desired.
  • Set and Serve
Place the cake pops upright in a stand or styrofoam block to set completely.
  • Enjoy the Superhero Magic
Serve at your Spider-Man-themed party and watch everyone enjoy the superhero surprise.
